We get to try out all sorts of things to see what solves each of our unique problems.

Thing's I've tried that might help: Ensure, Perpetuem, Shot blocks, candied ginger, dried papaya, chicken soup, little red potatoes slightly undercooked, chilled red grapes.

I'm also amazed that a lot of time tummy problems canmaniac hippohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08930482045316180708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15140645.post-52399017238359717612007-05-02T22:16:00.000-06:002007-05-02T22:16:00.000-06:00First of all, congrats on the 15k. I do not usually have a lot of problems since I eat on the run and have been known to eat chili after a marathon and then go pound out some more miles to finish out a 50k. I am not sure you want advice from me.robtherunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05066981363064781863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15140645.post-69134094448617581242007-05-01T21:00:00.000-06:002007-05-01T21:00:00.000-06:00Sarah,I know everyone goes "ewwww" but I'm tellin'...Sarah,
I know everyone goes "ewwww" but I'm tellin' ya, chocolate soy milk in the water bottle. I take two or three sips everytime I walk (so once every 10 minutes). It keeps me on an even keel, doesn't bother the tummy. I use the Silk brand. At Eugene I experimented with peanut butter filled pretzels - which were good, but dry and hard to swallow. I'm going to try peanut butter crackersBackofpackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13779487553272296752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15140645.post-61618842862691868722007-05-01T15:31:00.000-06:002007-05-01T15:31:00.000-06:00"Get the hell out of my way so I can eat, or I'll ..."Get the hell out of my way so I can eat, or I'll rip your face off!" You need the energy, but not the "weigh-me-downs", and for me, that means eating light before weights or even a ride. Veggies OK, meat and bread, nada.

Sarah - pancakes would stop me dead in my tracks, as would a pbj sandwich.

I guess everyone's metabolism is different.Turtle Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11867461015503674899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15140645.post-24446712087089156752007-04-30T20:47:00.000-06:002007-04-30T20:47:00.000-06:00I don't like to run in the evenings because althou...I don't like to run in the evenings because although its been hours since lunch I can still feel it sitting in my tummy. So I run in the mornings on an empty stomach or maybe a pbj sandwich. Sometimes on the weekend I don't run until noon and pancakes seem to sit well.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10790953201589664954noreply@blogger.com
