Instead of whining...

I am having a TMD (total meltdown day), but instead of blogging about my woes, I thought I'd share this bit of inspiration instead.

Moment of glory for autistic teen

Thanks to Steamer for sending it to me.

We all need a melt-down now and then. It seems to relieve the stress - like the valve on a pressure cooker. Hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow.

That is a great article - it was in our paper sometime in the last couple of weeks. Pretty cool. Today's paper had an article about a local girl doing her senior project (high school) at the Childrens Therapy Unit. She's teaching them dance. She commented that this has been a turning point in her life and that she has learned an incredible amount from the kids. That's pretty cool too!

You're right! That was a great clip. And I hope that your meltdown isn't really total.

I have seen the video a few times now and can watch it over and over. Truly a magical story and one that will be on the big screen one of these days. Take care.

Hi Sarah,

Melt downs Happen! Especially with what you have been through with your leg and knee, and not to mention the new responsability you have right now--so don't worry about it!

Great story! I saw it on the news when was it? Last week I think, and it wonderful! I just hope it opened some peoples eyes on what the autistic can accomplish.

Not related to today's post, but I went back at your previous and noticed all that thing about "stretched fascia, grown shin muscle"...I don't know about your particular case (may be you wrote way earlier), but it might be what I was diagnosed with, what is compartment syndrome. What sucks. However, there are things that may not quite fit the picture. Email me off-line olgav100@gmail.com if you're interested.

That's a great clip!

I have another possibility for your therapy regime, Cranio-Sacral massage. I had it done on my back several times when I was all messed up from carrying the Blessed Infants, and it helped tremendously. And completely non-invasive, too.

This is proof that it doesn't matter who you are, or what challenges you're provided - everyone can achieve great things, even beyond their own expectations.
