First day back at school

So, today is the first day of classes for the winter semester.

Believe it or not, I have to give a presentation tonight in my class. It's a year long class and before the holidays, we each had to sign up for two presentations. I insanely offered to be one of the first presenters, thinking I'd get it over with sooner, rather than later.

I hope I look back and appreciate that wisdom. At the moment, I'm just thinking I was a little insane when I offered to do that!

Ah well... no one said students were actually smart, right?!

Anyway, here we go again... Week one of thirteen...

Kudos, Sarah! At the end of the term you'll be glad you did this today - who knows... maybe even later TODAY you'll be glad you did this today... maybe you're reveling in it as we type... maybe I'm babbling!

Be well in your spirit.

Yeah, you had to do it, so just do it, as the Nike people want you to say, and hopefully buy their shoes while you're at it.

I despise presentations, but I like to get them over early as well. I hope all goes well.

Week one, and it's one down and one to go! Sometimes it is better to be first. Often times there is less pressure in being first. I would volunteer to go first so I could to set the bar for all those that followed.

wk one of 13...that caught my eye. sarah: i can't iMAgine being forever 'in school' or on a school schedule. (1 of the bennies of homeschooling...setting our own pace...but 'the school schedule' --public--year--etc still affects us very much.) i still have nightmares about college...it's the end of the semester & i know i have a final or i'll flunk...but i haven't been to the class all semester. i vaguely remember the face of the prof but can't FIND it tho i search all over campus. frantic!
eeeeewwwwww ugh i hate that dream. & it won't go away.
so, for what it's worth, i admire you? i mean, you CHOOSE to be taking classes AS WELL AS teach. i do admire you for teaching. i bet for all those who brush you off or act like school is a bore/something that has 2B endured there must be a few who actually love what you are teaching and you connect w/. dunno if that'd do it for me.
ON THE OTHER HAND, you get great breaks, huh? nice vacations times.
well, kudos to you, sarah. uKNOWiLOVEya!

I hate speaking in front of groups. I hope it went well for you.
